Today at approximately 2:00 p.m. September 15, 2009 our group arrived at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. We covered over 4,000 miles in 89 days from Anacortes, WA to Washington D.C. We have been on bike trails since Pittsburgh, PA first the Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, MD and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath that terminates in the Georgetown area of Washington D.C. 1. Glad you made it! Looking forward to your updates and details. I am off to Dayton Ohio for the Air Force Marathon. I'll be checking in again on Monday.

  2. My wife and I met Don and Mary at the hotel in Washington D.C. They told us about the groups cross-country bike journey to D.C. We only could speak for a short time, but their story was remarkable. My hat goes off to all of you. You have to be proud of yourself and maybe one day we will read a book about your adventure. I hope I will be able one day to follow in your footsteps one day.
